Welcome To Tombuie Smokehouse
The award winning Tombuie Smokehouse is a traditional smokehouse now located in the Heart of the Scottish Borders, with panoramic views over the rolling Border Countryside. It was established in 1991, as a farm based operation producing succulent smoked produce, all sourced locally wherever possibly. Tombuie and its sister company Hardiesmill Aberdeen Angus Beef, have been short listed for the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards 2008
Since Sally and Donald Crystal, founders and owners of Tombuie Smokehouse retired last year, we've not been able to find anything to match their delicious hams or how they smoked our Aberdeen Angus beef, anywhere in the country. So we are now delighted to announce the joining together of Tombuie Smokehouse and Hardiesmill.
At Hardiesmill we've put three generations of experience to rearing pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle to the highest standards of taste and tenderness, (our customers include the Orient Express and Harvilles of York). We hope to continue this standard with Tombuie Smokery, producing not only their tried and tested favourites, but a new and exciting range of products incorporating our own pastrami, smoked, cured and peppered beef.
Our products include a range of delightfully tasting smoked Scottish Cheeses, smoked venison, smoked duck breast, smoked lamb, smoked ham, smoked chicken and our own naturally reared Aberdeen Angus smoked beef.
